Listings

Is my listing boosted?

You can check if your listing is boosted by looking for the "Boosted" badge on your listing. If you don't see it, your boost may have expired.

Why doesn't my listing have any views?

Listings may take some time to get views. Try boosting your listing, using high-quality photos, and writing a clear description. In less active locations, it may take longer to gain traction.

How will someone message me?

When someone is interested in your listing, they can message you directly through the Roomie app. Make sure notifications are enabled.

Why can't I add photos to my listing?

Ensure you have granted Roomie permission to access your photos.

How can I verify my listing?

To verify the location of your listing, tap the "Confirm Location" button on your listing.

Why isn't my listing showing up in the listings tab?

The listings tab is personalized based on each user's filters. Even if you don't see your listing, others will if it matches their preferences.

Messaging

How does messaging work on Roomie?

You can start 5 conversations for free. After that, upgrading to Roomie Pro is required to initiate new conversations. You can continue chatting within existing threads without limits.

What should I do if I suspect a scammer?

If you encounter a suspicious user or listing, please report them through the app immediately.

Is Roomie free to use?

Roomie offers free basic features. Premium features like unlimited messaging and ad-free browsing are available via Roomie Pro subscription.

What is Roomie and how does it work?

Roomie helps you find roommates and rentals. Create a profile, browse listings, and connect with others directly through the app.

Why am I seeing roommate profiles instead of people looking for a room?

Roomie shows both roommate profiles and rental listings. If you're only seeing roommate profiles, ensure your room listing is active.

How do I stop getting charged for a subscription?

Check your subscription status in the app. To cancel, manage your subscriptions through the App Store settings on your device.

Can I contact support by phone?

Roomie currently offers support via email only at support@theroomieapp.com.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account by navigating to Settings in the app and selecting the account deletion option.
